Civil Aviation Academy Completes ICAO-Capped Aviation Security National Inspectors Course

The ICAO-Capped Aviation Security National Inspector Course, held at the Civil Aviation Academy, Bangladesh, in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), has been successfully completed. ICAO Instructor Mohammad Alamgir was the instructor in the course.


A total of 12 domestic and foreign trainees participated in this 07-working-day training program and successfully completed the course. The main objective of the training was to produce skilled and competent National Inspectors in aviation security oversight activities and to enhance their professional capabilities as per international standards.


Air Commodore Mohammad Asif Iqbal, Member (Security), Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the course. He congratulated the trainees and urged them to utilise the knowledge and skills acquired in the development of the country's aviation security system.


Prashant Kumar Chakraborty, Director, Civil Aviation Academy, was also present at the event. He expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the course and reiterated the academy's commitment to developing the human resources of the country's aviation sector by organising international standard training in the future.


It is to be noted that the course will play an important role in the upcoming ICAO Security Audit by providing proper training to the aviation security inspectors of the authority.
