Bangladesh civil aviation minister visits Heathrow operations hub in UK

Bangladesh’s Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afroza Khanam Rita, and Bangladesh’s Acting High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Nazrul Islam, visited the operations of Menzies Aviation at London’s Heathrow Airport yesterday.
During the visit, the delegation observed how the global aviation services company manages passenger handling and ramp operations on a large scale.
They were also briefed on the activities of the Operations Control Centre, which coordinates teams, equipment and flight operations across the airport in real time, according to the the information shared by British High Commission in Bangladesh.
According to Menzies Aviation, Bangladesh is among the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets, supporting more than 120,000 jobs and expected to expand further in the coming years.
The company said the visit underscored the strong UK-Bangladesh partnership and highlighted the aviation sector’s role in boosting connectivity, trade and economic opportunities.
Menzies Aviation expressed appreciation to minister and high commissioner for visiting its Heathrow facilities and said it looks forward to exploring opportunities to support the continued growth and development of Bangladesh’s aviation sector.
