Ocean Pearl, a double-hull catamaran vessel, has joined Sundarbans tourism fleet, offering upgraded facilities including swimming pool, gym equipment, and children's play zone for visitors to Bangladesh's largest mangrove forest.

Nizamuddin, commercially important person and ship owner running multiple businesses in Dhaka and Barishal, announced the launch with discounted packages at 17,000 taka for first-time visitors. Rate will remain slightly lower than competitors for next two to three months during peak season.

Double-hull catamaran design makes vessel particularly stable during storms and rough weather, addressing safety concerns in coastal waters. Each cabin features private balconies with unobstructed views, spanning 12 to 14 feet, offering triple beds, double beds, and four-person room options.

"Our ship can handle rolling, storms, and rough weather very well," Nizamuddin explained. "We will make every effort to assist tourists and provide everything necessary for comfortable journey."

Ship introduces live barbecue services and menu featuring dishes from Sundarbans and southern Khulna region. Management emphasised hygiene standards and food quality maintenance throughout operations.

Environmental protection remains priority with large-scale waste management equipment installed onboard. "As conscious citizens, we all have responsibility to protect environment," Nizamuddin stressed. "If we fail to maintain it, ships will not even be allowed in Sundarbans in future."

Khulna region currently has no other catamaran of this size, making Ocean Pearl unique addition to tourism infrastructure serving world heritage site visited by thousands annually.
