DHL Express and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have renewed their crew and maintenance agreement covering five Boeing 777 freighters based at Singapore Changi Airport, the two companies said in a joint statement.

Under the renewed deal, SIA pilots will continue to operate the five freighters, while SIA engineers will handle their maintenance. The aircraft support DHL's intercontinental air network, connecting the company's South Asia Hub in Singapore with key destinations in the United States.

The five Boeing 777 freighters entered service progressively from 2022 and are dual-liveried, based in Singapore. Each aircraft can carry up to 102 tonnes of cargo and ranks among the largest, longest-range, and most capable twin-engine freighters in operation.

Travis Cobb, Executive Vice President for Network Operations and Aviation at DHL Express, said the renewal "underlines our commitment to building and investing in the network capacity that keeps global trade moving." He said the five freighters "have become an integral part of our intercontinental operations, helping our customers move time-definite shipments with speed and reliability," adding that Singapore "remains one of the world's leading air logistics hubs."

Lee Lik Hsin, Chief Commercial Officer of Singapore Airlines, said the renewed agreement "reflects the strength and continuity of our partnership, which has supported the movement of express air freight between the Asia-Pacific region and key global markets via Singapore since 2022." He said the arrangement leverages SIA's operational expertise together with DHL's global logistics network to reinforce Singapore's role as a leading air freight hub, particularly in e-commerce.

The partnership, which anchors additional long-haul cargo capacity at Changi Airport, underscores both companies' view of continued growth in international trade and the role of reliable air connectivity in supporting global supply chains.
