100-plus new dishes on board: Singapore Airlines revamps in-flight dining

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is introducing more than 100 new and refreshed dishes across all cabin classes, along with new beverages and custom-designed serviceware, as part of an overhaul of its in-flight dining, the airline said in a press release on Tuesday.

The dishes fall under a new menu category called SIA Chefs' Selection, developed by the airline's in-house and guest chefs together with its catering partners, SIA said. The menu covers appetizers, main courses, and desserts and mixes familiar comfort flavours, regional favourites, reimagined classics and new creations.

The airline is also adding new wine labels for Suites, First Class, and Business Class and new spirits options in all cabin classes.

In Suites, First Class, and Business Class, meals will be served on new serviceware designed with Christofle, a French luxury tableware maker. SIA said the design includes a subtle interpretation of its signature batik motif, a traditional wax-resist patterned textile design.

In Suites and First Class, selected dishes may be presented with distinctive touches, and cabin crew may recommend beverages to match passengers' meal choices, the airline said.

Yeoh Phee Teik, SIA's senior vice president for customer experience, said in-flight dining is "about much more than the meal itself". He said the airline had reviewed every aspect of the experience, from menu design, seasonal ingredients, and cooking techniques to beverage selection, presentation, and crew service, guided by customer feedback, changing preferences, and emerging dining trends.

SIA said it has begun a progressive rollout of the new dishes. The remaining changes, including the new beverages, serviceware, and onboard service touches, will be introduced from November 2026.

The airline described the dining changes as one part of a wider investment in its end-to-end travel experience. This includes next-generation cabin products, the KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, new amenities, high-speed connectivity, and ground services. SIA said it will unveil the full experience in Singapore in November 2026.

The press release refers to an annex with further details on the dining offer. Prices, specific menus, and the routes on which the new dishes will first appear were not included in the main text of the release.
