Philippines’ South Palms Panglao Resort Taps Alcatel-Lucent Tech for High-Speed Connectivity Boost

South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao—MGallery Collection has deployed a full-suite digital solution from Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) to support guest services and operational efficiency at its newly opened luxury property in the Philippines.

The beachfront resort, which began operations in August 2025, selected ALE to build a unified, high-speed networking system across its six-hectare site on Panglao Island. The 188-room property required seamless connectivity across indoor facilities as well as beaches, pools, and landscaped areas.

ALE supplied a turnkey package that includes OmniSwitch 6360 Ethernet switches, a Hybrid Passive Optical LAN, and OmniAccess Stellar wireless access points designed to operate in challenging outdoor environments. The network is managed through integrated systems under a single ALE platform.

The digital backbone supports both guest-facing services and back-of-house operations, ensuring secure and uninterrupted connectivity while lowering long-term operating costs, the company said.

“Working closely with our partners, ALE delivered a future-ready, single-brand infrastructure that ensures a seamless guest experience and long-term cost efficiency,” said Dirk Dumortier, ALE’s Director of Strategic Partnership for APAC.

Pertlink founder Terence Ronson said the resort’s layout made hybrid optical LAN the “optimal solution,” noting ALE’s technical support and delivery through partner NERA.

The project was developed through a collaboration between the resort owner, Pertlink and ALE, establishing a scalable and resilient network designed to support future digital upgrades.
