THE WAY Dhaka wins boutique hotel title again

THE WAY Dhaka has been named Bangladesh's Leading Boutique Hotel 2026 at the World Travel Awards ceremony held in the Maldives, the second consecutive year it has won the category, according to a press release from the hotel.

The hotel won the same title in 2025. It described the latest win as a significant milestone for the property and its team and said the consecutive honours reflect its continued focus on excellence, elegance, and personalised hospitality in a competitive sector.

The World Travel Awards is an internationally recognised programme that celebrates achievement across travel, tourism, and hospitality.

THE WAY Dhaka said the award recognises the everyday work that goes into creating a welcoming and memorable stay for guests, from the first point of contact to the smaller details of a visit. The hotel said its service philosophy runs through its operations, with attention to individual needs and an emphasis on thoughtful, consistent care.

The release said boutique hotels hold a distinctive place in the travel and accommodation industry. Rather than relying on scale, they aim to offer a more intimate experience through character, attentive service and a sense of place. It said the latest award places THE WAY Dhaka among the names recognised for representing Bangladesh in this segment of hospitality.

Dhaka receives a wide range of visitors, including business travellers, international guests, families and people in the city for personal or professional reasons. In that environment, it said, hospitality providers must offer not only comfortable accommodation but also dependable service and a distinctive guest experience. It described its back-to-back wins as coming amid rising expectations and changing travel preferences.

THE WAY Dhaka credited the achievement to the guests who trust the property and to its team, from guest-facing staff to those working behind the scenes. It said service standards depend on coordination, professionalism and a shared commitment to making each stay smooth and comfortable, and described the honour as belonging to both guests and employees.

The hotel said winning the same title in two successive years also carries responsibility, because sustaining confidence depends on maintaining standards and continuing to meet guests' expectations. It said the 2026 win offers a chance to celebrate the team's efforts while renewing its commitment to the principles behind the recognition.

According to the hotel, the consecutive wins could serve as an encouraging example for Bangladesh's hospitality industry and that international recognition of a local hotel shows the role service quality, a clear identity, and dedicated staff can play in building a property's reputation. It said the award brings international attention to a hotel in the capital and adds to the country's visibility as a destination for business and leisure travellers.
