Govt prioritises safe workplace for women in aviation and tourism

The Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam said today that the government is working earnestly to ensure a safe workplace for women in the aviation and tourism sector.

She made this comment while speaking as chief guest in a meeting titled ‘Education Excellence Support Scheme’ held at Saturia upazila conference room, Manikganj.

At the event, Afroza Khanam highlighted the government's multifaceted initiatives to promote technical and women's education and called on parents to be more aware and proactive in supporting these efforts.

She said that, guided by the motto ‘Bangladesh First,’ the current government has been working tirelessly to ensure modern, relevant, and quality education for all citizens. She noted that, alongside modernising the fragile education system inherited from the previous government, the government has taken a range of effective measures to expand technical and vocational education and better align it with the demands of the job market.

Highlighting the importance of women's education, the minister said that there is no alternative to educating women for the country's overall development and progress. She added that greater awareness and a positive attitude among parents can play a vital role in expanding educational opportunities for girls and promoting women's education across the country.
