How to create passport in 2025 online without police verification?

In 2025, getting a biometric electronic passport, or E-Passport, in Bangladesh is simple and fast. Department of Immigration and Passports (DIP), runs everything through their online portal at epassport.gov.bd. Since February 2025, there is no need for police checks. This makes the process quicker for everyone. The E-Passport is the only type issued now, with a chip for security.

It works for travel and ID. The steps are: check service in your area, fill the online form, pay fees, go for biometric data, and collect your passport. Make sure all details like names and dates match your National ID card, or NID, or 17-digit Birth Registration Certificate, or BRC. Mismatches cause delays.

You need your original NID or a signed English 17-digit BRC that checks online at everify.bdris.gov.bd. For children or those abroad, the BRC is key if no NID. Fix old or non-digital BRC first at the office. After you submit the online form, print and bring the summary sheet with the barcode. It shows your details, appointment time, and status. For biometrics, bring this summary sheet, your NID or BRC, proof of address, and payment slip if offline.

For renewals, add old passport. If lost, bring police report GD with old number. For marriage changes, add the original marriage certificate, or Kabin Nama if Muslim. For divorce, add the divorce certificate. Kids under six need one colour photo, size 3.5 by 5 inches, white background. Government workers bring No Objection Certificate, or NOC. Students bring valid student ID or last exam certificate for discount or proof. Professionals or job holders bring office ID card or professional certificate.

For proof of address, use a recent utility bill like electric or gas bill. For permanent address, electric bill, gas bill, or E-Porcha works. For students or bachelors, use hall (dormitory) card for present address or apartment electric or gas bill.

Start at epassport.gov.bd/onboarding. Check if service runs in your spot. In Dhaka, try Uttara, Mohammadpur, or Aftabnagar offices. Say yes if in Bangladesh, no if abroad, then pick embassy like London or Washington. Use Google Chrome. Enter data exact from NID or BRC, parents' names in English.

Passport fees change depending on how many pages you want, how many years it will last, and how fast you need it. A small 48-page passport for 5 years costs around 4,000 taka for regular delivery, 6,000 taka for express delivery, and 8,000 taka for super express delivery. There is also extra VAT.

If you want it for 10 years, the normal cost is about 5,700 taka.

A bigger 64-page passport costs more, up to about 13,800 taka for the fastest service. Normal delivery takes about 15 days in Bangladesh and 45 days abroad. Express takes 7–10 days, and super express takes only 2 days.

Pay online via ekpay with Visa, MasterCard, or mobile like bKash, Nagad. If you choose offline, use banks with E-Challan slip, even after online form. Abroad, no cash or online; use money order, check, or card at counter. One payment per person. No refunds.

After making the payment, book your appointment online. Visit the office for fingerprinting, eye scanning, and signature. The officer will take your photo, except for children under six. Make sure to scan and bring all required documents. Some embassies allow walk-in applications. Match your home address with the correct regional office.

Regardless of your appointment time, you may have to wait until the evening for your biometrics, even if your slot is at 10:30 AM. It depends on the number of applicants, so plan your day accordingly and keep enough time in hand. Also, avoid wearing white or black clothes.

Before biometrics, you may need to face several counters for approvals. After collecting multiple signatures and stamps on your documents, you will finally reach the biometrics room. If it gets late, you might be grouped with other applicants and sent to a different room from the one you were originally assigned. Don’t get confused, you’ll find the instructions displayed at the entrance gate, so read them carefully.

Keep all your personal documents with you, both printed and digital copies. For any assistance, communicate with the Ansar members or the help counters. Make sure to have your breakfast and lunch beforehand. You can also carry light snacks and water with you.

You get a slip after biometrics. No police check now, so faster. Track status with application ID or online ID and birth date on portal. It will take a maximum of 20 days for your passport to be ready. Once it’s prepared, you must go to the passport office with that slip, registration summary and necessary documents to collect it.

To succeed, check NID or BRC first, fix errors. When you want to go abroad, make sure you have the fund ready. Plan ahead as times vary by load. Use only official site to avoid scams. This way, you get your passport smoothly in 2025.

When you travel with your new E-Passport, you will go through the airport office for immigration checks. This is at places like Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. For Bangladeshi people leaving or coming back, the main thing you need is your valid E-Passport. It must have at least two blank pages and no damage. Make sure it is not lost or stolen, as that can stop you from going.

You also fill a simple immigration form at the counter. If you have any visa for another country, carry that too, but for Bangladesh trips, it is not needed. Have your boarding pass ready. If you carry a lot of money, like over USD 5 thousand, tell the officers. For kids or special cases, bring birth papers if asked. Always check with your airline for more rules. This keeps things easy at the airport.
