Tindu, located in Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban District, is recognized for its natural beauty, often referred to as ‘Banglar Bhusorgo’ (Bengal's earthly paradise). Situated at approximately 2,500 feet on Dim Pahar, it features green hills, clouds, waterfalls, and tribal villages. The monsoon season (June-September) enhances its appeal with lush vegetation, frequent mists, and active streams, making it ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility. The area covers dense forests, hill paths, and communities like Abuwa Para, home to about 24 families primarily engaged in jhum cultivation and gardening.

How to get there?

- From Dhaka: Start at Sayedabad Bus Stand. Take a non-AC bus to Ali Kadam (2 daily departures; fare: TK 1,100 /person). Distance: 389 km; duration: 9-10 hours. Book tickets in advance, especially on holidays.

- Security Checks: Carry multiple photocopies of national ID. Submit at Yangsa Bazaar and before Ali Kadam.

- Ali Kadam to Panbazar: Local auto-rickshaw (10 TK).

- Panbazar to 21 km Point: Rent a motorcycle (600 TK for up to 3 passengers plus driver; 21 km). Pass an army camp: Provide ID copy and itinerary details (destination, return date).

- 21 km Point to Abuwa Para: Motorcycle (25-30 minutes) or hike (40 minutes). Paths are winding and may be muddy in rain.

-  Return Journey: Reverse the route; uphill hikes from Tindu Bazaar back to Abuwa Para take 1-1.5 hours.

Accommodations and facilities

- Stay in Abuwa Para's basic bamboo homes (arrange via local guide; costs: TK 500-1,000/night including meals).

- Facilities: Spring water via pipes from nearby falls; bamboo platforms for views. No major shops beyond Panbazar—stock trekking gear, mosquito nets, blankets, and raincoats there.

- Meals: Simple local fare; early dinners and bedtimes align with residents' routines.
