364 flights to Middle East destinations between February 28 and March 11 has been planned or operated, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Dhaka airport).

Airport flight management confirmed that operations began with 6 flights on February 28 and reached peak capacity of 42 flights on Tuesday. Daily operations include routes to Muscat in Oman, multiple cities across Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates destinations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Flight breakdown shows 6 flights operated on February 28, rising to 20 on March 1, 18 on March 2, and 22 on March 3. Operations significantly increase from March 4 with 35 flights, climbing to 38 on March 5 and reaching 40 on March 9.

Saudi Arabia receives highest number of flights throughout the period, with 22 daily flights scheduled on March 5-9. Muscat operations peak at 10 flights on March 5-10. UAE routes see maximum 15 flights on March 7, distributed across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Planned operations for March 10 include 10 Muscat flights, 20 Saudi Arabia flights and 12 UAE flights. Schedule for March 11 shows 8 Muscat flights, 19 Saudi Arabia flights and 12 UAE flights.

Surge in Middle East operations coincides with Ramadan Umrah season, when thousands of Bangladeshi Muslims travel to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage. Increased frequency also serves large Bangladeshi expatriate community in Gulf countries.
