The embassies of Schengen member states in Dhaka have reminded Bangladeshi travellers to adhere to the travel itineraries submitted with their visa applications, warning that deviations from predetermined travel plans could affect future visa approvals.

In a bilingual notice posted on their official Facebook pages on Monday, the embassies advised the visa holders to follow the travel plans they provided during the application process.

"Make sure to follow the travel plan you submitted in your application. Deviating from your predetermined travel plan may result in refusal of future visas to Schengen countries," the notice said.

The notice is part of the continued efforts of Schengen member states to promote compliance with the visa conditions and to raise awareness among travellers of their responsibilities after obtaining a visa.
